SLAM EVENT production presents Raiza Contawi Basic Makeup Workshop

Hey ya! So how's your week so far? Doing great? Doing great? Well that's good! Don't ever ask mine, haha! I want to take a vacation! ASAP! lol but I can't. I still need to finish a lot of works... from my corporate work up to my blogging work. Gosh! But I don't complain at all. I just need Prayers and guidance from God above. I think we all need that, right?

So let me proceed with my topic.

Last February 22, 2017 I got an email from SLAM Event Production for winning a slot for RAIZA CONTAWI BASIC MAKEUP WORKSHOP (and I die when I saw the subject of that email) lol yep! I almost die. This is so un-expected on my side ... and for most of all, though I'm in this industry (fashion blogging) I always saw pretty faces, almost perfect contoured faces. I envy them you know. I can't perfect my brows, I did not know what to put on first, is it moisturizer? or primer? or foundation? and how to blend eyeshadows. Just when I saw the email, I said yes! right away!
TBH. I'm not a fan of any make up vlogger/youtuber, hehe my bad. I watch any kind of make up tutorial just when someone shares it on Facebook. :) I think I'm not good on watching it, and I think it's more clearly if someone's teaches me personally or live :)
So here I go.

First Ms Raiza teach us that the most important you need to know first before buying any make ups is to "KNOW YOUR SKIN TYPE" though you buy drugstore brands or expensive brands it doesn't matter, as long it will fits your skin type.
A lot of Skin types such as Oily, Ageing, Combination, Dry, Sensitive, and Normal.

The Process that matters. ( Now I barely know it na! :)

  • Moisturizer- Apply thinly before primer. You can apply using finger or by using a flat foundation brush.
  • Primer- Apply all over the face with fingers or brush to make your foundation lasts for hours.
  • Foundation- With your beauty blender, pat it flat on your face starting from the center going outwards. Find a base designed for your skin type. For Oily skin, look for words like "oil-control" or "oil-free". For Combination skin,  for mostly dry try moisturizing foundation and for mostly oily go with oil-free. For Dry Skin, look for hydrating formula or liquid foundation.
  • Concealer.
  • Contour and Highlighting.
  • Setting with Powder- Using a brush or powder puff, pat it over your foundation to set it and to absorb excess oil.
  • Brows- remember to groom the brow first, fill in the brows with an angled brush and spoolie, and apply brow mascara to set the brows in place.
  • Eyes- The safest colors are the brown tones. Stick to a light/champagne shade, medium brown, dark brown, or black as your everyday colors.
  • Face Blush- Smile and pat it on the apple of your cheeks. Tap off excess product when applying blush. Use a blush brush.
  • Lips- Make sure to apply a shade that's complementary to your skin tone, Choose warm shades if in doubt.
  • Setting of Makeup- Spray twice with an X direction across the face to set your makeup in place.
